Palma de Mallorca wedding photographer
I’m Monika, a wedding photographer in Palma de Mallorca
I’m Monika and I photograph weddings and elopements in Palma de Mallorca, all across Mallorca and the rest of Spain. Palma feels completely different from the mainland – a historic centre with the La Seu cathedral and narrow streets, a harbour full of boats, seaside promenades, neighbourhoods like Santa Catalina or Portixol, and the Serra de Tramuntana mountains just outside the city.
In the morning the city feels calm and fresh, during the day it’s full of life and light, and in the evening everything softens into golden hour or blue hour by the sea – that’s when the kind of photographs are created – the ones you’ll keep coming back to for years.
Wedding photographer since 2017 – over 100 weddings documented.
I help couples feel comfortable in front of the camera and enjoy their day.
My work is often described as natural, timeless and calm.

Why choose me as your wedding photographer in Palma

As your wedding photographer, I’m with you almost the entire day – during the morning preparations, the ceremony, the short couple session and the evening party. Up close I see the nerves just before the ceremony, the relief after you say “I do”, hugs with your family, spontaneous laughter, the small gestures between the two of you and all the tiny details you might not even notice yourselves.
That’s why it’s so important to me that you feel relaxed and safe with me – that I can stay calm even if the timeline changes, adapt to whatever is happening and support you in the moments when you need it most.
I mostly photograph in a documentary way – I let your day unfold naturally and capture what is really happening.
During the key moments (ceremony, vows, speeches, first dance) I step in as little as possible, so you can truly experience them, not just “perform them for the photos”.
For couple portraits I’ll gently guide you, but the goal is not fashion poses – what matters much more to me is that you feel calm, close and yourselves.
I adapt the timing of the photos to your plans, not the other way around – you want to spend your day with your guests, not an hour away from your own wedding.
Before the wedding we’ll go through locations, light and a rough timeline together, so nothing takes you by surprise on the day itself.
You enjoy the day with the people you love – and I’ll make sure your photos are full of emotions, little details and the atmosphere of Palma and the whole of Mallorca.

I’m a wedding photographer in Palma

I photograph weddings in cities, boutique hotels, countryside fincas and on the beach. I love when a single day takes you through different settings – getting ready in the historic centre of Palma in the morning, a ceremony in a garden or small chapel, a short couple session by the sea at sunset and an evening party under string lights.
I don’t focus on “Instagram-perfect” moments, but on what your day really feels like: who was there, the relationships between you, the light, music and atmosphere. When you’re planning a destination wedding in Palma de Mallorca, we can go through location options together, plan the ideal time for your couple photos and create a timeline where photography becomes a natural part of the day – not an interruption.
Wedding venues in Palma de Mallorca
For portraits, we can use the area around the La Seu cathedral, the narrow streets of the old town, the harbour with views of the boats, or the seaside promenades heading towards Portixol. If you choose a hotel with a terrace and a view over the bay, we can create beautiful photos right there on site, without you having to leave your guests.
Fincas and countryside venues near Palma
Just a short drive outside the city and the scenery changes completely – gardens surrounded by palm and pine trees, old stone houses, vineyards, olive groves and views over the hills in the island’s interior. The area around Palma is full of fincas and countryside venues where you can have the whole day (or an entire weekend) just for you and your guests.
For inspiration, you can look at places like Son Mir or Castell Son Claret – as well as other classic countryside fincas near Palma that offer gardens, indoor spaces and full facilities for a civil ceremony and reception. Some of them are only a few minutes from the city, yet they feel as if you were in the middle of the Mallorcan countryside.
If you’re dreaming of a wedding “on Mallorca” in a broader sense rather than just in Palma, we can explore venues further inland or on the west coast – vineyards, stone fincas, and places with views of the sea or the mountains. The most important thing is that the venue matches your style and works well for both you and your guests.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
“We could not have chosen a better photographer for our wedding! Monika is very professional and will make sure every important moment is captured in a very candid, not forced and non-invasive way. She went with the flow of our (sometimes chaotic) wedding and effortlessly adjusted to our needs/timing as was needed.
On a personal level, she is very sweet and curious, shows interest in you as a couple and your story, as well as your guests and the traditions you choose to include.
Since the beginning, we got a good impression of her and her work from her fast responses to our emails, through the cosy pre-wedding meeting, her dedication at the wedding and now to when we got the final pictures, she exceeded our expectations. 🙂 We strongly recommend her and would choose her again in a heartbeat. <3 Thank you again, Adela and Peter”

I’m Monika – a wedding photographer in Palma, Mallorca

I’m Monika, and if you’re planning a wedding or elopement in Palma de Mallorca, somewhere else on the island or anywhere in Spain, I’d love to be there with you. I mostly work with couples who want their photos to feel calm, intimate and full of the atmosphere of the place – not just pretty poses.
On a wedding day I spend most of the time in the background – watching the small moments, your family’s and friends’ reactions, the gestures between the two of you and everything that naturally unfolds around you. When it’s needed, though, I’m very practical: I’ll help organise group photos, suggest where to stand for the best light or when to take a short moment just for the two of you.
I edit my photos in a clean, timeless way – without heavy effects that might feel dated in a few years. I keep the colours close to reality, so your gallery is still enjoyable to look through even with time. Before the wedding we’ll go through your timeline, priorities and location options together – whether you’re dreaming of a wedding in Palma’s historic centre, by the sea or at a finca hidden in the Mallorcan hills.
I want you to feel that the photography is completely taken care of and that I’m there as your support – not just another task on your to-do list.
How I photograph weddings in Palma de Mallorca

Palma and Mallorca have so many different sides that can beautifully come together in a single day – the old town, more modern neighbourhoods, the marina, beaches, seaside promenades and quieter spots just outside the centre. I usually combine a documentary approach with a shorter couple session at the time when the light feels softest and most flattering.
This is what a typical wedding day looks like from my perspective:
Getting ready – I quietly photograph the details, outfits, the atmosphere in the room and moments with your closest family and friends.
Ceremony – I capture the flow as it naturally happens, from arrivals and vows all the way to congratulations, including your guests’ reactions.
Group photos – I help organise and arrange the groups so everything runs smoothly and no one is left waiting around.
Couple session – we plan it around the light and your timeline; it can be in the streets of Palma’s old town, in the venue’s garden or by the sea at sunset.
Evening celebration – I photograph it so you can feel the light, music and energy of the evening in your photos, not just a few obligatory shots of the dance floor.
When I edit, I aim for the whole gallery to feel like one cohesive story – from the morning nerves through the ceremony to the very last song of the night.
How the process works

Many couples plan their wedding in Palma from a distance, so I try to keep the whole process as simple as possible and without unnecessary steps.
- First message
Write to me with your wedding date, ceremony and reception location (Palma / surrounding area / another part of Mallorca), an approximate guest count and a few lines about how you imagine your day. If you’re considering a pre-wedding / engagement session, definitely mention it. - Online call
We’ll schedule a short video call where we’ll talk through the style of your wedding, the timeline, your priorities and any questions you might have. We can also look at specific venues and locations you already have in mind. - Coverage proposal and quote
I’ll recommend how many hours of photography make sense for your plans, suggest the ideal time for couple photos and send you a clear offer so you know exactly what is included. - Booking your date
If working together feels right, I’ll send a contract and details for the booking retainer. Once it is paid, your date is firmly reserved. - Before the wedding
A few weeks before the wedding we’ll fine-tune the final timeline, addresses, important names and a list of groups for family and group photos. You can also mention any specific traditions or moments you definitely want captured. - Wedding day in Palma
You focus on each other and your guests, while I keep an eye on the light, moments and the flow of the day. You don’t need to worry about any technical details – I’m there to make sure nothing important is missed and that the photography doesn’t disrupt your celebration. - Delivery of your photos
Shortly after the wedding I’ll send you a small preview – a few key images as a first taste. The full edited gallery will then be delivered online, ready to view, share and print.
