Zaragoza wedding photographer
I’m Monika, a wedding photographer in Zaragoza
I’m Monika and I’m a destination wedding and elopement photographer in Zaragoza and across Spain. Zaragoza has a completely different atmosphere than coastal cities – it’s a city of the Ebro river, bridges, large squares and historic buildings, where everything quiets down in the evening and the light becomes warmer.
I edit my photos in a clean and timeless way, without heavy filters, so that even years from now they still feel natural – and bring you back to how you felt on your wedding day.
Wedding photographer since 2017 – over 100 weddings documented.
I help couples feel comfortable in front of the camera and enjoy their day.
My work is often described as natural, timeless and calm.

Why choose me as your wedding photographer in Zaragoza

On your wedding day I’m physically and emotionally very close to you. I’m there for the morning chaos, your first look, I stand just a few steps away during the ceremony and I see moments that easily slip past others – small touches, nervous laughter, the look of a parent who will remember this day completely differently than everyone else.
That’s why it’s so important to me that you feel comfortable around me. I don’t want you to feel “watched”, but to feel safe and relaxed – in an atmosphere where you can truly be yourselves.
- I help you stay calm, even if the timeline shifts or something changes at the last minute
I organise group photos quickly and clearly, without endless calling people together
I choose locations with flattering light – whether you’re in the historic centre, by the Ebro river or in a garden outside the city
during your couple session, I create a space where you can relax, talk, laugh together – and forget that someone is taking photos
I photograph mostly in a documentary way – I follow what’s happening and only step in when it’s really needed (for example to organise family photos or a short couple session).

I’m a wedding photographer in Zaragoza

I’m Zaragoza elopement photographer. I photograph weddings in cities, on country estates, in the mountains and by the sea. Zaragoza is particularly special to me because it combines generous urban spaces with easy access to nature – in a single day you can experience the atmosphere of the historic centre, a quieter spot by the river and an evening celebration in a hall or garden.
I don’t aim for the “perfect Instagram shot”. What matters much more to me is that, when you look through your gallery, you can truly feel what your day was like – who was there, how your loved ones looked at you, how you felt just before the ceremony or in those few quiet moments when you slipped away together.
If you’re planning a destination wedding in Zaragoza, I’m happy to help with the practical side too – we’ll talk through locations, light, timing and logistics so that the photography fits naturally into your day and doesn’t get in the way of what’s happening.
Wedding venues in Zaragoza
In the centre of Zaragoza you’ll find a mix of historic buildings, large squares and modern hotels with dedicated spaces for wedding receptions. If you’d like to have the ceremony, dinner and evening party all in one place, it often makes sense to choose a hotel or venue with its own function room, terrace and good facilities for your guests.
A good example of an elegant city setting are the hotels from the Palafox Hoteles group, such as Hotel Palafox or Hotel Hiberus, which offer halls for wedding receptions and events close to the city centre or by the Ebro river.
For couples who are drawn to a combination of city life and views, modern hotels in the Expo area by the river can also be interesting – with the option of photos on terraces or in nearby parks.
The surroundings of Zaragoza – fincas, estates and Aragonese countryside
Just a short drive out of the city and you’re in a completely different atmosphere – white country houses, gardens, trees and open countryside. These fincas and haciendas are ideal for full-day or weekend weddings when you want to keep your guests “in one place” and have more privacy.
One frequently mentioned venue is Hacienda Las Flores, located not far from Zaragoza, which offers gardens, a covered terrace and spaces for both the ceremony and reception all in one place.
Other options include places like Finca Torre Mirahuerta and other country estates in the area, which combine greenery, historic architecture and facilities for larger guest numbers.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
“We asked Mona to photograph our wedding and we don’t regret it for a second. The photos beautifully capture not only the important moments, but especially the subtle, spontaneous ones that really created the atmosphere. Monika’s approach was wonderful – kind, natural, everything felt relaxed and at the same time very professional. Communication was great from the very beginning all the way to the delivery of the photos. We felt very comfortable with her, which was really important for us in front of the camera as people with no experience.
We would definitely recommend her to anyone who is looking not only for beautiful, natural photos, but also for a calm and genuinely human approach.
Thank you!”

I’m Monika – a wedding photographer in Zaragoza and across Spain

I photograph weddings in different parts of Spain – in busy cities, quiet villages, among vineyards and in the mountains. Zaragoza is one of those places where city life, history and nature all come together, and where you can experience a lot in just one day.
I try to get to know my couples before the wedding – your style, whether you prefer a smaller, intimate ceremony or a big celebration with a full dance floor. I then adapt the way I work and the flow of the photography so that it feels as comfortable for you as possible.
On the wedding day I’m a mix of quiet observer and someone you can turn to when something needs to be sorted out: reminding about group photos, suggesting where to stand for the best light or holding your bouquet when you need free hands. I want you to feel that you’re in good hands and that the photography doesn’t restrict you, but actually supports you.
I edit my photos in a clean, timeless way – without strong effects that will quickly look dated. I keep the colours close to reality so that your gallery still feels pleasant to look at years from now and your whole day reads as one coherent story.
How I photograph weddings in Zaragoza

Zaragoza offers so many different backdrops – historic streets, squares with views of the basilica, the promenade along the Ebro and gardens or estates just outside the city. I always plan the photography so that we use the best light possible and at the same time don’t disturb the flow of your day.
What a typical wedding day can look like from my side:
Getting ready – I mostly stay in the background and capture details, outfits, the atmosphere in the room and moments with your closest people
Ceremony – I don’t interfere with what’s happening, I focus on emotions, exchanged looks and your family’s and friends’ reactions
Group photos – I help organise everything so that everyone knows when they’re up next and the photos don’t take longer than necessary
Couple session – we plan it according to the light (often later in the afternoon); it can be in the city centre, by the river, on a hotel rooftop or in a garden / at an estate outside the city
Evening celebration – I document speeches, the first dance, the atmosphere at the tables, dancing and all the spontaneous moments that make the evening feel real
When editing, I try to keep the whole gallery coherent and natural – from the first images in the morning all the way to the last photos from the dance floor.
How the process works

Because many couples plan their wedding in Zaragoza from a distance, I’ve set up the whole process to be clear and simple, without unnecessary steps.
1. First message
Send me your date, location (Zaragoza / surroundings), approximate guest count and a short idea of your day – how big the wedding will be, what style you’re going for, and whether you’re thinking about a pre-wedding session.
2. Online meeting
We’ll schedule a short video call to go through the details: timeline, your priorities, questions and wishes. We can also look together at specific locations you already have in mind.
3. Coverage proposal & quote
Based on what you share, I’ll recommend how many hours of coverage make sense, suggest the ideal time for couple photos and send you a clear quote, so you know exactly what you’re getting.
4. Booking the date
If you decide to go ahead, I’ll send over a contract and payment details for the retainer. Once it’s paid, the date is firmly reserved for you.
5. Before the wedding
Before the wedding we’ll fine-tune the final timeline, list of group photos, important names and any special moments or traditions you definitely want captured.
6. Wedding day in Zaragoza
You focus on each other and your guests; I take care of the light, moments and the smooth flow of the photography. You don’t need to think about the technical side – I make sure nothing important is missed and that the photos don’t disrupt your day.
7. Delivery of your photos
Shortly after the wedding you’ll receive a small preview selection. Then I’ll deliver your full edited online gallery, ready to share and ready to print.
