Why choose me as your wedding photographer in Malaga

Choosing a wedding photographer is not just about whether you like their portfolio. You need someone you connect with on a personal level, who can handle emotions and time pressure, and who won’t force you into stiff, unnatural poses throughout the day.
I photograph mainly in a documentary way – I’m not a director, but a quiet observer who captures what truly matters.
I interfere as little as possible in the key moments (ceremony, speeches, first dance) so they stay authentic.
During the couple session I guide you gently, but still give you plenty of space.
I build the photography around your timeline so it doesn’t disrupt the flow of the day.
Before the wedding we’ll go through your ideas, locations and timing together, so we can make the most of the best light in Malaga.
I want you to enjoy your day together, with your family and friends.. My job is to make sure all the important things are there in the photos – the emotions, the small moments and the atmosphere of Malaga.

I’m a wedding photographer in Malaga

I’m Monika, a wedding photographer who loves travelling to couples all over Europe – from Malaga and other places along the Costa del Sol, through vineyards in Italy to smaller weddings in the mountains. I enjoy finding locations and light that truly suit you, whether you’re getting married in a city palace, a garden at a country house or on cliffs above the sea.
My style is natural and mostly documentary – I focus on emotions, the relationships between you and your loved ones, and the overall atmosphere of the day. I’ll help you plan your wedding photography in Malaga, fine-tune the timing and locations so everything makes sense and you can concentrate on each other. Your photos won’t just be a list of events, but a coherent story.
Wedding venues in Malaga
Malaga – city centre, rooftops and seafront hotels
In the heart of Malaga you can have your wedding just a few steps from the sea and the historic old town. Gran Hotel Miramar, set right by La Malagueta beach, offers elegant ballrooms, lush gardens and terraces with sea views for larger celebrations. Castillo de Santa Catalina is a castle-hotel on the hillside above the city, with courtyards, arches and panoramic views over the bay – perfect for sunset ceremonies. In the old town, Palacio Solecio brings together a restored 18th-century palace, inner courtyard and refined gastronomy, while boutique hotels like Room Mate Valeria near the port offer intimate rooftops overlooking the harbour and city roofs.
Around Malaga – fincas, cortijos and the Costa del Sol
Just outside Malaga the atmosphere changes to pure Andalusian countryside. Finca Paradis, in the hills north of the city, is a luxury finca surrounded by olive groves, gardens and mountain views, ideal for multi-day weddings with accommodation on site. Towards the coast near Nerja, Cortijo María Luisa is a traditional villa with extensive gardens, pool and sea-and-mountain views, designed for outdoor ceremonies and long dinners under the stars. Along the wider Costa del Sol you’ll also find many other fincas and haciendas where you can keep everything in one place – preparations, ceremony, dinner and party until late at night.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
“We asked Monika to photograph our wedding and we don’t regret it for a second. The photos beautifully capture not only the key moments, but especially the subtle, spontaneous ones that truly created the atmosphere of the day.
Monika’s approach was wonderful – kind, natural, everything felt relaxed and at the same time very professional. Communication was great from the very beginning right up to the delivery of the photos. We felt very comfortable with her, which was really important for us as people who aren’t used to being in front of the camera.
We would definitely recommend her to anyone looking not only for beautiful, natural photos, but also for a relaxed and genuinely human approach.
Thank you!”

I’m Monika – a wedding photographer for Malaga and across Europe

I’m Monika, a wedding photographer. I most often work with couples who are planning their dream wedding or elopement abroad – in Malaga, elsewhere in Spain or in other parts of Europe. I love travelling, discovering special locations and seeing how the atmosphere of a place connects with your story.
On your wedding day I’m with you in the moments that matter most. Most of the time I stay in the background and let things unfold naturally, so your day doesn’t turn into one long staged photoshoot. I capture emotions, tiny moments, touches, glances and everything that makes your wedding unique. When needed, I’ll help organise family photos, suggest where to stand for the best light, or create a small bubble of calm for you in the middle of a busy day.
I edit your photos in a clean, timeless style, without heavy filters. Before the wedding we’ll go through the timeline, locations and your wishes together – whether it’s a wedding in the centre of Malaga, by the sea, in the hills above the city or somewhere else in Europe. I want you to feel that your photos are taken care of and that you have a calm, supportive presence by your side, not another source of stress.
How I photograph weddings in Malaga

Malaga offers three worlds I love to work with when photographing weddings: the city, the sea, and the surrounding hills and countryside. On wedding days I usually combine a documentary approach with a shorter couple session.
During the day:
in the morning and during preparations I photograph discreetly, capturing details, emotions and moments with your family and friends
I document the ceremony as it unfolds – tears, laughter, glances and the reactions of parents and guests
for group photos I help with organisation so everything is quick and no one feels like they’re standing in line for half the day
we plan the couple session around the best light – in the streets of the old town, at a viewpoint above Malaga or by the sea
I photograph the evening celebration in a way that shows how much you genuinely enjoyed it, not just that you stood in front of the camera
In terms of style, I love clean, timeless colours. The edited photos look natural and hold together as one coherent visual story of your day.
How the process works

Most couples plan their wedding in Malaga from afar, often from other countries. That’s why I try to keep everything as simple and clear as possible.
- First contact
Send me your wedding date, venue, approximate number of guests and a short description of how you imagine your day. Let me know if you’re also thinking about an engagement or pre-wedding session. - Online call
We’ll arrange a short video call to talk through your ideas, the style of your wedding, the timeline and the options for photography in Malaga and the surrounding area. We can also look at locations and inspiration you like. - Coverage and quote
Based on the information you share, I’ll suggest the ideal length of coverage, recommend the best time for couple photos and send you a clear, detailed quote. Everything will be written down so you know exactly what to expect. - Booking your date
Once we agree on the details, I’ll send you a contract and booking terms. After the booking fee is paid, your date is firmly reserved. - Preparation before the wedding
Before the wedding we’ll go through the schedule once more, addresses, contacts and any specific requests – for example a list of family groups, important details or traditions you don’t want to miss. - Your wedding day in Malaga
On the day itself you focus on each other and your guests. I take care of the light, what’s happening and the flow of the photography, so it doesn’t disrupt your plans but still captures everything important. - Photos
Shortly after the wedding you’ll receive a small preview of the key moments. This is followed by a complete online gallery with all the selected and edited photos, which you can download and easily share with family and friends.
