I’m Monika, a wedding photographer in Seville

Congratulations on your engagement. I’m Monika and I photograph weddings and elopements in Seville and across Andalusia. Seville means white walls, tiled courtyards, the scent of orange trees, narrow streets and wide tree-lined boulevards. During the day it’s vivid and full of life, in the evening it quiets down, the light turns warmer and the whole city feels softer and more intimate. I want your photos to reflect not only the place, but above all the two of you in the middle of it all.

Wedding photographer since 2017 – over 100 weddings documented.
I help couples feel comfortable in front of the camera and enjoy their day.
My work is often described as natural, timeless and calm.

Why choose me as your wedding photographer in Seville

Seville wedding photographer

Your photographer sees your wedding day from a completely different closeness than most of your guests. I’m there in the morning chaos, for the first look, standing just a few steps away during the ceremony, and I witness all those little moments hardly anyone else notices – a tighter hand squeeze, a quiet smile, the look of a parent who doesn’t say anything, but feels everything.

As a Seville wedding photographer, my role is not to put you under constant control, but to let things unfold naturally. I want you to feel that I’m more of a quiet companion than someone who is always directing. When it’s needed, I’ll step in and help – but most of the time I simply observe, wait for the right moment and let your day flow at its own pace.

  • keep the timeline on track and fit the photography around your plans

  • organise group photos quickly so they don’t turn into a half-hour “break”

  • find spots with flattering light, whether you’re in the city centre, a courtyard or a garden

  • create a safe space during your couple session so you can be yourselves, even if you’re not used to being in front of the camera

I’m a wedding photographer in Seville and Andalusia

Seville wedding photographer

For me, photographing weddings is mainly about working with atmosphere – and in Seville and its surroundings, that changes from place to place. One day I might be in the historic centre among palaces, another day at a hacienda surrounded by olive trees, and the next by a pool just outside the city where your guests spend the whole weekend.

I’m not interested in the “perfect pose”, but in your connection and how you are together. During your couple session I don’t dictate every move – instead, I try to create conditions where you can relax and forget about the camera. The result should be photos in which you recognise yourselves, not two people trying to play a part.

Wedding venues in Seville

As representative venues in the centre, Hotel Alfonso XIII is often mentioned – a luxury hotel on the edge of the Santa Cruz district, with an inner courtyard, garden and reception rooms where both wedding ceremonies and large celebrations are held.

For couples who are looking for a distinctly historic atmosphere, palaces and townhouses with private patios are also very appealing – for example Casa de Pilatos or other historic buildings in the centre that combine Andalusian architecture, mosaics and peaceful inner courtyards.

The surroundings of Seville – haciendas and Andalusian countryside

Just a few kilometres outside the city you step into a completely different world – white haciendas among fields, avenues and olive groves, with gardens, indoor halls and spaces suitable for a full-weekend celebration. For couples who want to combine their wedding with a stay away from the city, this is an ideal option.

One of the most frequently mentioned venues is Hacienda de San Rafael, a country estate surrounded by gardens and pools, located less than an hour from Seville and offering several areas for both the ceremony and the reception.

Another example is Hacienda La Soledad – an iconic Andalusian hacienda close to Seville, with extensive indoor and outdoor spaces and typical architecture designed specifically for events and weddings.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

“We asked Mona to photograph our wedding and we don’t regret it for a second. The photos beautifully capture not only the important moments, but especially the subtle, spontaneous ones that really created the atmosphere. Monika’s approach was wonderful – kind, natural, everything felt relaxed and at the same time very professional. Communication was great from the very beginning all the way to the delivery of the photos. We felt very comfortable with her, which was really important for us in front of the camera as people with no experience.

We would definitely recommend her to anyone who is looking not only for beautiful, natural photos, but also for a calm and genuinely human approach.
Thank you!”

I’m Monika – a wedding photographer in Seville and across Spain

Seville wedding photographer

I’m Monika and I photograph weddings in big cities, on country estates, by the sea and in the mountains. Seville is one of the places I love coming back to – it has a strong atmosphere, beautiful light and a mix of elegance and laid-back energy that I really enjoy on wedding days.

I try to build a connection with my couples before the wedding. I want to know how you are together, how you want to experience your day and what you prefer – whether it’s a small, intimate ceremony or a big celebration with dancing late into the night. I adjust the way I photograph and the timeline to match that.

On the wedding day I’m with you from morning till evening – as an observer, but also as someone you can turn to when something needs to be sorted quickly. I’ll help with the dress, call in the right people for group photos, hold your bouquet when you need free hands. My goal is for you to feel that you have someone by your side who knows what they’re doing, while still respecting your space.

I edit your photos so they look good now and in many years’ time – without heavy, trendy filters. I want you to recognise yourselves in them and for the story of your day to feel consistent from the first image to the last.

How I photograph weddings in Seville

Bride and groom cutting their wedding cake at an outdoor reception in Seville

Seville offers so many different settings – from narrow streets and hidden courtyards to large parks and country haciendas just outside the city. I adapt the way I photograph to make the most of the light and at the same time not disrupt the flow of your day.

What a typical wedding day looks like from my side:

  • Getting ready – I stay in the background and capture details, the atmosphere in the room, and moments with family and friends

  • Ceremony – I don’t interfere with what’s happening; I focus on emotions, small gestures and your guests’ reactions

  • Group photos – I help organise everything so it’s done quickly and everyone knows when it’s their turn

  • Couple session – we choose the time according to the light (often late afternoon or evening); it can be in the city centre, in a courtyard, a garden or at a quieter spot outside Seville

  • Evening – I document speeches, the first dance, the atmosphere at the tables, dancing and all the spontaneous moments on the dance floor

When editing, I make sure all the photos work together and tell one coherent story – from the first sound of the hairdryer in the morning to the last hug late at night.

How the process works

Most couples plan their wedding in Seville from a distance, so I’ve set up the whole process to be clear, simple and without endless email back-and-forth.

1. First contact
Send me when and where you’re planning your wedding (Seville / surroundings), an approximate guest count and what kind of celebration you have in mind. If you already know you’d like a pre-wedding session or an elopement, feel free to mention that too.

2. Online meeting
We’ll schedule a short video call where you can tell me more about your day. We’ll go through what matters most to you, any questions you have and what you expect from your photos. We can also look together at specific locations you’ve been considering.

3. Coverage recommendation & quote
Based on the information you share, I’ll suggest the length of coverage, suitable times (for example for couple portraits) and send you a clear offer. You’ll see exactly what’s included and how everything works.

4. Booking your date
If you decide to go ahead, I’ll send over a contract and payment details for the retainer. Once it’s paid, the date is reserved just for you.

5. Before the wedding
Before the big day we’ll go through the final timeline, important names, your list of group photos and any special moments (traditions, surprises) you definitely want captured.

6. Wedding day in Seville
You focus on enjoying the day with the people you love. I’ll take care of the light, what’s happening and the flow of the photography so that nothing important is missed and the photos don’t slow things down.

7. Delivery of your photos
Shortly after the wedding I’ll send you a small preview with a few selected images. The full edited gallery will follow online – ready to share and ready to print.
